Week 53: A Marvelous Work And A Wonder

Image
Buenos días a todos! This email is gonna be a short one. Gonna give you all a quick update then leave you all with a scripture!      Hector got baptized! I've never seen someone so excited to enter into the waters of baptism. We saw a lot of opposition including friends and family telling him not to do it but he was true in the faith and relied on God! He is now a member of the church of Jesus christ of latter day Saints. Other than that it has been a pretty chill week. Our days consist of going from hill to hill preaching the restored gospel of Jesus christ and that the power to baptize is once again found on the earth. Including a 15 minute break to go to a bread shop haha.         Wanted to leave you all with this scripture in 2 nefi 25:17.  "And the Lord will set his hand again the second time to restore his people from their lost and fallen state. Wherefore, he will proceed to do a marvelous work and a wonder among th...

Week 52: 1 Year Out

Image
Hey fam and friends! I have officially been a missionary for year so thats crazy. The spiritual progression I've had over this last year has been something super special. I have gotten to know Jesus christ on a personal level which really is incredible. I've come to understand the healing power of the Atonement and the power it has in my life. Don't get me wrong the year wasn't all perfect hahaha. Lots and lots of rejection, seeing a lot of people choose the world over God, walking miles and miles during the day. But salvation has never been easy so I'm more than happy to do the hard things to help others make covenants with God.        Few highlights of the week is that Jasmine got baptized! Super happy for her and her family. Me and my comp presented and did a training in front of the mission which was great. Hector our 75 year old friend will be baptized this Saturday!! He has came a long way and found a lot of peace when we taught him that we...

Week 51: It's Never Too Late

What's good fam and friends! Gonna be a short one but im happy to fill you guys in on the week.         To start we are seeing a lot of miracles here. There are 4 missionaries in our ward and we are always telling eachother that we are the sons of mosiah preaching to all the lamanites here in Tomé. We have a baptism this week and have a lot more baptism dates this month! Including an old man we met this week named Hector. He is like 75 years old but has a huge desire to follow Jesus by baptism. On Sunday we went to his house and helped him wake up and come to church which was great. He's gonna be baptized here in a week or two. Its never too late!       Also presented a little something for a liders counsel this week which was fun but now I have to present something with my companion in front of the mission so that's great hahaha. Pray for us. Also felt the spirit very strong in the testimony meeting here in our lit...

Week 49&50: The American Cup

Image
Hello everyone! Happy Monday hope you are all well. These past two weeks have been so great and went by very fast. I've been adjusting to a new area and being a zone líder but it has been great and I've learned a lot. It's fun moving places and getting new leadership responsibilities because it make you rely more on your Heavenly Father. So I've been very fond of change recently haha.          As some of you know the American Cup is being played right now. It's basically all the countries from South and North America are playing in a huge soccer tournament. The chileans along with every other Latino, soccer is their lives. Chile played a few games this week and the streets and stores on every corner either had a radio blasting the broadcast or televisions playing. It's fun to be a part of their fun culture when it comes to fútbol. Sadly we have already been elimated and now all the people are grumpy and won't listen to the missionaries...
