Week 6: Final Week At The CCM

¡Hola! (That means hello in Spanish). Just finished my final week here at the Mexico City Mtc. The past 5 weeks have been some of the best/hardest times of my life. I've fr changed so much and the mtc couldn't have done a better job of preparing me to be a missionary. The crazy thing is that my mission has only just begun. I received my flight plans the other day. I fly out of Mexico at 8:25 pm Thursday night. It is about a 9 hour flight to Sangiago where I have an 8 hour layover. Good thing the church is true or I would have some complaining to do haha. Then I have an hour and a half flight to Concepción where I will be saving souls for the next 23 months!

Spanish is coming along the best it can. Hopefully Chile is patient with me haha. My Spanish teacher has been telling me how much my Spanish has come in just the past week. I know it will come with time I just pray I have the courage to open my mouth and give it my best.

The past few weeks I've been feeling like I haven't been as close to the spirit as I should be. There was an analogy from a talk I was listening to. It compared us to stethoscopes. If a stethoscope even just has a little crack in it, it won't be able to hear the heart beat. This made me realize I have some cracks and that's why I haven't been able to feel the spirit and receive the revelation I need to be feeling. So I had some repenting to do. After a lot of talking to the Lord and to my branch president I have been forgiven and my cracks are fixed. Repentance is such a great gift that we should all be using daily. I'm excited to give my everything to these next two years with no strings attached.

There are so many more stories and experiences but i don't have the time to tell them all. Maybe I will sell copies of my journal once I get back hahaha. The next time you all are going to hear from me I am going to be in Chile! I'm so grateful for the time I've had to learn and grow here at the Mtc. But my story is just beginning. God lives
