Week 12: Big Changes

Hello everyone! Officially finished my first transfer in the field. So much has happened in the past week and I don't have much time to write this email but I'm gonna try my best to fill you all in. We had cambios this week. For a new missionary he has 2 cambios of training with his trainer. So I just finished my first cambio with my trainer elder workman. Me and Elder workman were super ready for our second cambio together to finish out my training but he got called as a zone leader in a different area. Soooo I received a new trainer named Elder Randall. He is from Arizona and I can tell we are gonna do a great job together. I'm staying in my area which means I'm basically the senior companion for awhile. Elder Randall knows nothing about my area or who anyone is so I've been completely leading the companionship. Feels like I'm the trainer at times haha. Super sad to see Elder workman go. He taught me how to work and to lose myself in the work. But I'm excited for the new opportunity to serve with Elder Randall and to get to work here in Talcahuano.

My Spanish is really progressing. I'm getting super confident with it. Im super close with all the members here so they are always complimenting and helping me with the language. We have a lot of investigators right now progressing so we are hoping to see the ward grow and do all we can. Lots of potential right now and I'm excited to see what the next transfer has in store.

The baptism of Maximo is this Saturday which I'm super excited for. I contacted Maximo my second day in Chile and we have been teaching him ever since. And now only a month later he is ready to enter into a covenant with his Heavenly Father. This really is a great work. Love you all! Send prayers. God lives.
