Week 15: Latter Day Saints
What up family and friends. A lot of miracles this week that I'm super excited to share. But first I wanna say how important the scriptures are in our day. We are literally in the last days. We are the latter day Saints. Satan has more power then ever before. But the great thing is, we have the armor to stand strong. Im not gonna lie i wasnt the best at reading the scriptures before my mission buttt I testify to all of you that if you read a little bit of the scriptures every day you will be able to withstand whatever temptation and storm satan throws your way. Ephesians 6:11-13
Lots of miracles this week here in Chile. To start we found a family that is superrrr inactive. The familia Norambuena. The parents were married in the temple and were super strong members then something happened in the church that shouldn't have happened. I don't really know the details but I do know they are angry at the church. Anyways they have 2 kids, Ashley who is 15 who's baptized and ìan who is 10 and isn't baptized. We started visiting them this week and teaching ìan. At first the parents didn't want anything to do with it. They didn't stop us from teaching ìan but they didn't support it. But every time we go over there we gain more and more trust and are becoming to be friends with the entire fam. Long story short Friday night we had a lesson with ìan about the book of mormon. Boris, the dad, was kinda listening in on the lesson. Anyways we finished the lesson with my testimony. Right after I said amen boris walked into his room and walked out with his scriptures. Let me tell you they haven't been touched in yearssss. He blew off so much dust and got a paper towel to clean them off. He opens them up and starts showing ìan all his notes that he has inside. Super spiritual experience to see him talk to his son about the gospel. Boris still says he has no desire to come back to the church but I know that he knows the church is true. We invited ìan to church and Boris even dropped him off. So ìan came to church with us this week. We are hoping to but a baptismal date for him this upcoming week! I'm hoping that Boris and the rest of the family are gonna realize what they left and are going to become active once again.
Time is flying in the mission. Crazy to think I've almost been a missionary for 4 months. I've changed so much out here and I'm looking forward for what's to come. I love you all and I love this gospel. I appreciate all the emails and prayers. Los amo a todos. God lives.
