Week 26: Pressing Forward

Muy buenas tardes familia!! I hit 6 months of being out this week which I can not believe. 1/4 of my mission is over. Unreal. Still have a lottt of work to do tho for the people here in Chile. I had a super great week here in Talcahuano with a lot of success. My comp and I are starting to see a lot of work pay off. To start, we are teaching una amiga named Angela. I have been teaching her off and on since I got here but never really saw much interest out of her. Then this past week when I received my new companion I sent her a text asking how is everything and if she has time for us to pass by and share a message. She said yes. And ever since then we have had a lesson with her almost every day. And she came to church with us on Sunday! She also brought her husband and baby to church with her!! I'm super excited to see where things go with her. I believe she could accept a baptism date here pretty soon. But I'm trusting in the Lords timing.

My life here in Chile really is flying by. My days are just meshing into weeks. I go to the same bread shop almost every day so I know all the workers haha. I go to my same Venezuelan barber every time for a haircut. Kinda starting to forget what life was like before the mission hahaha. Nah but I'm really loosing myself and enjoying it our here.

Days consist of me and my companion walking the streets of Chile with him asking me every Spanish conjugation in the spanish dictionary hahahah. He is very eager to learn so he probably asks me 3000 questions a day. Gotta love it. All of our lessons usually consist of me teaching the lesson and him saying his testimony at the end. Genuinely tho it's super powerful to see... him not knowing much Spanish but genuinely testifying of something he knows to be true. We make a good team. Also loving my ward. We have ward counsels almost every Sunday and I participate just as much as the Elders quorom president. Haha don't know how that works but yeah. Excited for another week to help people make covenants with God!

I hope you are all doing great back home. I love and miss you all. This is the true church of Jesus christ. Don't forget how lucky we are to have it and it's restored truths here on the earth today. God lives
