Week 27: God's Church

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. Can't believe it's already time to update you guys again. It's always a pleasure to be able to share my experiences with all of u. So let's get into it.

We had a super busy week! We had multi zone conference which was great. It's always a great experience listening to Presidente Hukdhs. I know he receives revelation from God to lead this mission in Chile Concepción. Can't even explain how much of a disciple this man is. We talked about how the best source to find people that are going to be baptized is through members. Changed my perspective a lot on my relationship with the members. We should include them on the work and explain to them missionary work is literally the most important work on the earth right now. So ever since then I've been a little more straight with the members. Hahaha I gotta tell them I'm not here in Chile to eat empenadas with them. I'm here to help people come unto christ through baptism. And that i would love if they helped me in the process. Already seen good fruits that have came from this!

Kinda a slow week with our friends. Lot of people are are on vacations cause it's summer here in Chile. But we keep pressing forward and we were able to find a family that is super interested in the church. I'm excited to see where things go with them. It's gonna be a pretty sweet lesson when we teach them they can be sealed and live together forever.

I also bought a hat this week to keep the sun out my face. Now I look like a Jevohas Witness so that's fun hahaha.

Also this week the carnival of Talcahuano is happening. To explain it to all my people in Idaho it's like Idaho days but 300 times bigger with drums and dancers and parades. It's unreal. And idk how but I had no idea it was happening. So we just walk out of a lesson the other day to a million people watching this parade. Super dope. Probably the most South American thing I've seen in my life hahaha. I'll put a pic below.

The mission really has changed me a lot. My perspective on life truly has changed. I have come to know that this is God's church. The things I see and experiment everyday remind me how true this church is. God's hand is in every aspect of missionary work. His hand is in everyday aspect of our personal lives. We really are his children. God lives.
