Week 30: Tomé

Hello fam and friends! A lot has happened this week so I'm super excited to update you all. To start, my time in Talcahuano has come to an end. We had transfers this week and I got transferred to an area in Tomé. It was super sad saying goodbye to all the people in my other area. They were really like family and it felt like I was leaving home again. They all told me that they are gonna come to my house in Idaho and eat potatoes with me so looks like I'll be seeing them soon. 4 of our friends that we have been teaching are going to be baptized on the 24. So I was super sad having to leave right when all of our baptisms are. But I realized they aren't my baptisms they are God's. Had to humble myself a bit haha.

I said goodbye to Ian and gave him one of my ties to remember me. He then told me he was gonna wear the tie I gave him every day when he gets on his mission.

My new area is great. I got called as a District leader so I'm super excited about that. Also I received Elder Kinnaird as my companion. He's from Colorado Springs and has been out 5 months or so. We are a young companionship ready to work. Also I didn't mention this but we are doing a white wash. That means we both got here at the same time. So we have no idea what's going on in this sector. We don't know the members and we barely found our house haha. The oficinistas just threw us the house keys, sent us the direction and said good luck.

Tomé is very beautiful it's a tourist city right on the beach. So my first two areas of my mission have been on the coast which is great. Also the view from our house is excelente. I'll put some pics of Tomé in my next email.

I'm super excited for this new opportunity I have to help more people in Chile come unto christ. Love you all. God lives.
