Week 33: Los Evangélicos
What's up everyone! Had a tough but great week in Chile. I learned a wholeeee lot. To start I better explain the title a little. Idk how I didn't realize this until this week but in my zone where I am serving there are tonsss of other churches. Every contact we had in the street people would say "soy evangélico déjame en paz" hahaha. I then started to realize that every corner here there is an Evangelist church. And these churches aren't empty they are always filled with people singing and playing their electric guitars and drums. I then was talking to a member of my ward and he told me that in 2010 there was a tsunami that wrecked all the houses and churches down by the beach. So all these people moved up on the hill and built their churches. So please pray for me that i can find some people willing to hear the restored and true gospel of Jesus Christ! Ive already been in wayyy too many Bible bashes hahahaha.
Also this week Elder Costa of the seventy came to my mission! The night before me and my companion traveled halfway to Concepción and slept at the house of some other elders. They threw us one blanket each and said get comfy. Sooooo we spent the night on the cold tile floor with one blanket each haha. The questions that I have been having during the mission were answered in one conference. You can really see that this man is inspired and called of God. Also his wife wow a women of power that can really testify of the trueness of the gospel. Such inspired people called to visit my mission to share their counsels with me. It really was an answer to my prayers.
Love and miss you all. Also shout out the Bryce family for the package and getting me right with the Preston basketball gear! The church of Jesus christ is God's kingdom here on the earth. Pray for me that I can help others realize it. God lives
