Week 34: Alto Amor Y Altas Expectativas

Holaaa amigos y familia. How is everyone?? It's been nice to get hear from some of you so if you have time send me something!

This was a super great week of the mission. Probably one of the best weeks I've had spiritually out here. Started the week with a councel with Presidente and all the other leaders in the mission. We learned that to be good leaders we have to have lots of love but also high expectations for the people we are leading. It was a super basic principle but I've been thinking about it this whole week. During my studies one day I was studying about the grand plan of happiness and thought about this cousel that I had received a few days prior. "Alto Amor y Altas Expectativas".
I then realized that our father in heaven is the exact same way. He loves us so much but he also expects very highly of us. We have his commandments to follow. We have his church to worship in. We have the gift of prayer to communicate with him. God knows our potential here on the earth. He expects highly of us because he loves us.

This week we found a family to teach! We had a two or three lessons with them back to back. We invited them to be baptized and they said "Of course when can we do it." Sadly we found out they aren't married and aren't planning to get married in the future. They won't be able to progress toward baptism but it's still a beautiful experience teaching families about convents and being sealed together forever.

The area I'm in is super tough to find people to teach. The ward hasn't had baptisms in a longggg time. But I know I'm here for a reason and God is preparing his children to here his message. Please pray for the people here in Tomé. Love u all. God lives
