Week 37 & 38: Muy Buenas Cosas Esta Semana

Holaaaa fam and friends. Hope everyone is doing well back at home. I had a great week here in Tomé. Lots of miracles and experiences that I'm excited to share with you all. We had a baptism, general conference, and..... an earthquake. Let's just say it has been one of the better weeks of my mission.

To start I wanna share the miracle of Claudio. Claudio is an investigator of the hermanas in my district. He's had lots of problems and doubts about the church but a while back he accepted to be baptized. I am the district leader over the Hermanas so I was always helping them teach him and figure things out. Well the week of his baptism date he backed out and said he wasn't ready. Was super sad but at that point there is not much you can do. So the week goes on and then the hermanas receive a phone call from Claudio saying he's thinking about baptism again and felt like he made a wrong decision when he told us he wasn't ready. So long story short we said there is one way you can see if you are ready to be baptized and that's the baptism interview. I have interviewed a lot of people to be baptized during my mission. Usually takes like 15-20 minutes. This interview with Claudio went for almost an hour. It was an incredible experience. I somehow had an answer to every question he had. Really felt like I a was an instrument in God's hands. In the end of the interview he realized he was ready and then asked me to baptize him. Such a miracle.

Second thing General Conference this week was great. It was fun listening to it and understanding it this time hahahah. Cause the last general conference I only had a few weeks in Chile. We watched the Saturday session with a great family from Argentina. I love conference and listening to a prophets voice.

The third thing that happened was the earthquake. Hahaha I'm not gonna say much about it cause I don't wanna scare my mom but there was a 5.4 earthquake in Chile on Wednesday. It was the weirdest sensation ever. I've always wanted to feel an earthquake but I've decided that I don't want to feel one ever again. So nuts.

Well that's what I have for you all this week. I love this gospel and being a missionary. Everything about the gospel makes sense out here and I'm grateful for the opportunity that I have to keep progressing spiritually and helping the people in chile do the same. Les amo. God lives.
