Week 40: Hit The Tride
What's up everyone! Love and miss u all. Had a wonderful chill week here in Tomé. First off got bit by a dog for the first time on the mission. I would have thought it woulda happened earlier hahaha. The next day we had to track down the dog and find out if it had it's rabies vaccines. The man said he thinks so but doesn't remember lol. So pray for me.
Me and my companion Elder Gonzalez are hitting our stride. We are getting close to the end of this transfer and we are doing great. We are teaching very very well together and we are clicking on a lot of levels. We put one of our friends on date for the 4th! Her name is Sonya and she has a cute 6 year old daughter. We contacted her in the street and the second lesson she accepted the baptismal date. One thing I've realized about the mission is that we are here to help people come unto christ and the way we do that is through baptism. In preach my gospel there is a part that says " We must place the covenant and ordinance of baptism and the confirmation in the minds and hearts of ourselves and those we teach using the Book of Mormon as the key to the conversion of families." We cant put the covenant of baptism in the hearts of our investigators if its not in our own heart. That has been our focus lately and we are seeing good fruits of it.
Over all was a super chill week. Time is super crazy out here. Days are long weeks are short. The sister missionaries that got to Chile with me are already half way done with their mission. So nuts. We have seen so many miracles this transfer. Me and Elder Gonzalez are hoping we can stay one more transfer together. I'm gonna miss his Mexican cooking hahaha. This church is true. God lives
