Week 94-96: La Última Vuelta
Buenas tardes family and friends!! Hope all is well with you guys. Today is the first day of my last transfer. I'm staying here in the little branch of Dichato with my same companion Elder Stevenson! I'm very grateful for the opportunity I have to finish here and to do everything I can to help this branch before I go. I'm excited to get back and see the fam but I'm also not ready to leave the mission field and to take off the mission tag. As I reflect on the mission I realize it has prepared me to be a great student, a great church leader, and a great father. But the only thing I'm worried about rn is the 6 weeks I have left to represent Jesus christ here in Chile. Ánimo!!!
Our friend Miriam got baptized this week! We had a great baptism service and every member was here to support. She also already has her temple recommend and is going to the temple with the branch tomorrow!! We have also been teaching 2 families that have came to church and should be getting baptized soon. God has blessed us with many miracles these last few weeks.
This week I have studied much about repentance. In 2 Corinthians 7:10 it teaches that there are 2 different types of sorrow. It says "For Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."
The sorrow from God brings us to repent and recieve peace. The sorrow from the world is embarrassment and destroys all hope. As a missionary I have made daily repentance a habit of mine that I hope to have after the mission as well. I know repentance is the key to real happiness!
Love you all and I'm excited to see you all soon. Thanks for all the prayers and support. God lives!!
