Image
      What's up friends and fam!! Can't believe another 2 weeks have already gone by! It has been a very eventful 2 weeks so I'm hoping to fit in all the highlights it this short email.      To start I just had my last birthday in the mission! I turned 20 years old which is crazyyy. Some members rented out an event room on the top floor of one of the highest buildings in conce to celebrate my birthday and eat cake hahaha. Also one of my favorite families from Tomé traveled to conce to see me which was super fun! It was a wonderful bday.        Also these past few weeks we have been teaching a girl named Valery. She is 20 years old studying here in conce. Her story is very similar to joseph smith. She has a lot of faith but does not know how to practice it. She came to church with us and even accepted a baptism date but we have been seeing a lot of opposition so pray for her! We have transfers next week and I'm hoping i stay so I can see ...

Week 67,68&69: Press Forward Saints

Image
     The work of the Lord presses on another week! The mission is incredible. These past few weeks have been very very espiritual. I have had a broken heart and a contrite spirit which have led me to see many miracles. I have been guided by the spirit in many ways.     3 weeks ago one afternoon we were led to Sonia. We invited here to come unto christ. She said " I will if you help me". And yesterday she was baptized and confirmed a member of the church of Jesus christ. She is 75 years old so it was a little complicated getting her emerged in the water but the 5th try we got it done hahah. We had a young man from the ward baptize her which is always so good to see. During my 16 months as a missionary I have put a great focus and effort in the youth of the wards that I've been in. I have come to understand that they are the future of this church. And most importantly future missionaries!!!               My companion an...

Week 72: Conce Centro---> Linares

Image
    What's up fam and friends! As you can see by the title my time in the city of Concepción has come to end:(      We had transfers and I have been transferred to a little city called Linares! It's the zone farthest away from the mission office and it's a little farming community. I am currently on a bus traveling to get there and I have a great view of the Andes mountains from my window!! My new companion is from Brazil and his name is Elder Ribeiro. He has 22 months in the mission and he is 23 years old so he has lots of experience with the mission and with life hahaha. I'm very thankful for the opportunity i have to work with him.       I had to say goodbye to all the recient converts and members from Conce which was very sad but I've gotten used to the sad goodbyes already hahaha. I am very happy for the work me and my companions did during our time there.  Don't have much more time but I'll let you all know next pday how Linares is...

Week 65&66: For He Loveth The World

Image
    What's up my friends and family! Just wanted to write to you all quick and give an update on the work of the Lord here in Chile! I completed 15 months as a missionary so that's crazy. I am feeling good where I am at at this point in my mission. I have been able to be an instrument in the hands of God in many ways! But it's so interesting that as a missionary one is never satisfied with the work he or she has done. We are always thinking about who next will receive the message of the restored gospel. I'm excited for the many months I have left!      I have loved serving here in Conce Centro. We talk with a lottttt of people daily and I have gotten to know many many different types of people. I have a strong relationship with my ward and the leaders that are here. One of my converts here claudio got the priesthood the other day and passed the sacrament! In the time I have been here I have seen great advances in the work of the Lord. We have transfers next week...

Week 62,63,64: Hastening The Work

Image
    Good morning friends and family! Almost been a month since my last letter so I apologize hahaha. But todo bien here in Chile! From baptisms, general conference, and being in a parade, these past few weeks sure have been ones to remember.        To start off I would like to share a scripture in dyc 88:73. "Behold, I will hasten my work in its time." These past few weeks I have seen way too many testimonies that now is the time where God is Hastening his work. The people are more prepared than ever. The Prophet is announcing more temples than ever. I feel so blessed to serve as a missionary during this time. I'm blessed to be a representative of Jesus Christ bringing the world his truth.        A week or two ago we also had the baptism of Benjamin. He's a little boy with a big testimony! It was a very spiritual experience hearing him answering the questions to the baptismal interview. It made me realize how pure and simple this gospel ...

https://photos.app.goo.gl/ 8R2G5X4tVLyGa8sa9      Happy 18 de septiembre!!! It's Independece day here in Chile and it has been absolutely nutsss. It's been a long week of music, empenadas, and chilean cowboys. We had our ward party which was super fun. I never thought I'd see my president of the relief society dancing so hard on the dance floor hahaha. It was fun seeing some Chilean culture and being able to celebrate with people here.         I got a new comp named Elder Englebright! He's from st George and he's an absolute disciple of Jesus christ. I'm training him as zone líder so he's young but got a lot of potential so we are gonna be grinding. It's my first comp from the states in awhile so that's fun as well.       This church is very true. Don't have a lot more time to write but I put the link to my photos so you guys can see a little bit more of what I've been up to.  This church is very true. God lives Ether 12:2...

    What's up everyone! Happy to be able to write to you all. I'm really enjoying my time here in Conce Centro. God has given us many miracles so I'm excited to share a few with u all. This is our last week of the transfer so pray me and my companion Elder Araya stay together!       Our friend Claudio got baptized this week! It was so incredible seeing him make his first covenant with God. Him and his wife are incredible and might be some of my best friends hahaha. I know Claudio is gonna be a leader in the church one day.       The 18 de septiembre is coming up. It's the 4th of July but for the Chileans so everyone is getting all their decorations up and starting to have barbecues and wasting all their time drinking alcohol and dancing a Chilean dance called the Cueca. It's incredible my companion is teaching me how to dance it hahah. A great time here in Chile but me and my comp are focused on finding teaching and baptizing the people here....
