Image
What's up fam and friends!! Hope you all had a wonderful conference weekend. The past few weeks flew by and now I only have 3 months left in the mission. Super crazy. As you can see from the title I got transferred from Linares to what will probably be my last area. It's a little beach town in a city called Dichato. It's a branch with 20 active members. Me and my new companion Elder Stevenson are doing a white wash as well so pls pray for us! We are very excited to get working and to establish God's church here in Dichato.      My time in Linares was a blessing. The people I met and taught there were incredible and taught me many things. I worked with leaders of the church that are willing to drop everything to complete with their ward callings. Also met people that were willing to change their lives and be baptized. I also learned that I am willing and able to listen to the Lords promptings to find people to be taught. My companion Elder Gilbert was incredi...

Week 84,85,86: The Light Of The World

Image
Hooola buenos días!! I'm grateful to be able to update you guys on my life here in Chile these past few weeks! Starting off I got a new companion!! Said goodbye to Elder Zapata which was super sad but I received Elder Whaanga Gilbert. He is from New Zealand and is incredible! He has been teaching me a lot about his culture and accustoms. A very humble missionary that is eager to learn so we excited for what's to come!!     A few weeks ago there was a power outage in the entire country of Chile. Don't ask me how that is posible but it happened hahaha. The country issued a curfew so everyone had to be in our houses at 7pm. Me and my comp enjoyed playing card games and cooking rice and chicken with head lamps on hahaha. In 3 Nephi 9 the people were also left without light. But Jesus christ comforted them saying "I am the light and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end." I'm a witness that he is the light and the life the world....

Week 82&83: El Campo Está Blanco

Saludos desde Chile! Hope everyone has had a wonderful week. Here in Chile the field is extremely white and ready to harvest. Our friend Diego got baptized in 3 weeks of meeting him. I have a very strong testimony that God is preparing his children to hear this message!!        Other than that everything has been super chill. I'm still here Linares with my companion Elder Zapata and we are drinking lots of mate haha. He has many christlike atributos so I'm learning a lot from him. Currently we are teaching a young couple with a baby. They aren't married but after hearing our message they are willing to do everything to get married so they can be baptized! They have came to church twice as well so pray they can keep progressing and can get married!!!       This week as well we also had a Leadership council so I had to travel to Concepción which is like a 4 hour bus ride. There we talked a lot about how we are doing as a misison with o...

Week 80&81: Church Of Joy

Image
Hello friends and fam!! Another week gone by in the work of the Lord. I've got 2 minutes to write this so it's gonna be a brief email today.      To start Yessenia got baptized!! She and her family are very content with the step she has taken. She made a lot of sacrifices to be baptized and showed a lot of faith when the opposition came. Next step for her is get to the Temple!!!    Me and my companion Elder Zapata are enjoying every second together. We both don't have much time in the mission so we are leaving it all out there. Our friend Diego should be getting baptized this weekend! He always asks us great questions and almost every time we have a good answer. Other times we just tell him we are gonna study the tema and get back with him hahaha.      I know this is the church of Joy. I've seen way to many testimonies of it. I've found joy in my live and seen others do the same. Like Elder Kearon said "Because of the redeeming life ...

What's up everyone!! These past two weeks have been incredible and im excited to catch you guys up a bit. To start we had transfers and I'm staying here in Linares! It's been an average of 94 degrees the past few days. Never felt anything like it. But luckily I'm starting to get usted to it and nothing can stop God's work! My companion Elder Ribeiro got transferred:( Definitely one of my favorite companions I've had. He taught me that we aren't anything with the holy ghost. Many times throughout the day we would pray to ask God to show us the way. And thanks to this we saw many miracles together. My new companion is Elder Zapata from Argentina! I was actually his district leader foreverrrr ago so it's super fun being together.        The family we have been teaching keeps progressing! The mom yessenia gets baptized this Sunday!! And the dad Francisco we found out he got baptized in santiago when he was 9 years old and we actually found his records ...
