      Buenas tardes family and friends!! Hope all is well with you guys. Today is the first day of my last transfer. I'm staying here in the little branch of Dichato with my same companion Elder Stevenson! I'm very grateful for the opportunity I have to finish here and to do everything I can to help this branch before I go. I'm excited to get back and see the fam but I'm also not ready to leave the mission field and to take off the mission tag. As I reflect on the mission I realize it has prepared me to be a great student, a great church leader, and a great father. But the only thing I'm worried about rn is the 6 weeks I have left to represent Jesus christ here in Chile. Ánimo!!!          Our friend Miriam got baptized this week! We had a great baptism service and every member was here to support. She also already has her temple recommend and is going to the temple with the branch tomorrow!! We have also been teaching 2 families that have came to ...

Week 90-93: Progress!

Image
    Hello friends and family!! Here in the branch of Dichato we have seen a lot of progress these past 3 weeks so I'm super hyped to share all that has happened. I only have 2 months left as a missionary of the church of Jesus Christ. The mission is coming to an end and I'm so grateful for the time I've had out here. It has been incredible. I have seen a lot of changes in me. But it's not that the mission has changed me, but its that Jesus christ and the Atonement have. I'm excited to share with you all more when I get back haha.        Few weeks ago we had Easter here which was super fun. It was fun to see and be a part of the celebrations from all the different religions. Also lots of people are super big on not eating meat during the "Holy Week" so we enjoyed fish for a week straight hahahah. It was a very spiritual week reflecting on all the Savior did and does for me personally.        To share a few of the miracles we have seen I w...

Week 87,88&89: Linares---> Dichato

    What's up fam and friends!! Hope you all had a wonderful conference weekend. The past few weeks flew by and now I only have 3 months left in the mission. Super crazy. As you can see from the title I got transferred from Linares to what will probably be my last area. It's a little beach town in a city called Dichato. It's a branch with 20 active members. Me and my new companion Elder Stevenson are doing a white wash as well so pls pray for us! We are very excited to get working and to establish God's church here in Dichato.      My time in Linares was a blessing. The people I met and taught there were incredible and taught me many things. I worked with leaders of the church that are willing to drop everything to complete with their ward callings. Also met people that were willing to change their lives and be baptized. I also learned that I am willing and able to listen to the Lords promptings to find people to be taught. My companion Elder Gilbert was incredi...

Week 84,85,86: The Light Of The World

Image
   Hooola buenos días!! I'm grateful to be able to update you guys on my life here in Chile these past few weeks! Starting off I got a new companion!! Said goodbye to Elder Zapata which was super sad but I received Elder Whaanga Gilbert. He is from New Zealand and is incredible! He has been teaching me a lot about his culture and accustoms. A very humble missionary that is eager to learn so we excited for what's to come!!     A few weeks ago there was a power outage in the entire country of Chile. Don't ask me how that is posible but it happened hahaha. The country issued a curfew so everyone had to be in our houses at 7pm. Me and my comp enjoyed playing card games and cooking rice and chicken with head lamps on hahaha. In 3 Nephi 9 the people were also left without light. But Jesus christ comforted them saying "I am the light and the life of the world. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end." I'm a witness that he is the light and the life the world....

Week 82&83: El Campo Está Blanco

Image
    Saludos desde Chile! Hope everyone has had a wonderful week. Here in Chile the field is extremely white and ready to harvest. Our friend Diego got baptized in 3 weeks of meeting him. I have a very strong testimony that God is preparing his children to hear this message!!        Other than that everything has been super chill. I'm still here Linares with my companion Elder Zapata and we are drinking lots of mate haha. He has many christlike atributos so I'm learning a lot from him. Currently we are teaching a young couple with a baby. They aren't married but after hearing our message they are willing to do everything to get married so they can be baptized! They have came to church twice as well so pray they can keep progressing and can get married!!!       This week as well we also had a Leadership council so I had to travel to Concepción which is like a 4 hour bus ride. There we talked a lot about how we are doing as a misison with o...
