What's up everyone!! These past two weeks have been incredible and im excited to catch you guys up a bit. To start we had transfers and I'm staying here in Linares! It's been an average of 94 degrees the past few days. Never felt anything like it. But luckily I'm starting to get usted to it and nothing can stop God's work! My companion Elder Ribeiro got transferred:( Definitely one of my favorite companions I've had. He taught me that we aren't anything with the holy ghost. Many times throughout the day we would pray to ask God to show us the way. And thanks to this we saw many miracles together. My new companion is Elder Zapata from Argentina! I was actually his district leader foreverrrr ago so it's super fun being together.        The family we have been teaching keeps progressing! The mom yessenia gets baptized this Sunday!! And the dad Francisco we found out he got baptized in santiago when he was 9 years old and we actually found his records ...

Feliz Navidad!!! Y feliz año nuevo!!! A little late. I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season. Here in Linares we had a White Christmas even tho it has been like 90 degrees every day. We got to see our dear friend Priscila dressed in white for her baptism!! What a special experience that was. Definitely will be the president of the relief society one day.       For Christmas eve we spent the evening with the incredible Ortiz family. And they invited the sister missionaries and other elders as well so it was extremely fun. We made gingerbread cookies and listened to Christmas music. I felt right at home. It was a blessing being with a family for Christmas.       Unfortunately the mom and daughter that we were teaching that were about to get baptized this week got hit with a lot a lot a lot of opposition. Her family came to visit for the holidays and found out she was coming to church with us and I'm guessing told her a lottt abou...

Week 73&74: Earthquake

Image
Hoooola amigos!! As you all can see from the title this week has been crazyyy. We had an 5.4 earthquake here in Chile. I've seen a few little earthquakes during my time here but the earthquake that happened this week was definitely the biggest hahaha. Luckily no houses fell but a lot of power and water lines got wrecked. Other then that everything has been pretty chill here. I'm loving being here in the country. Reminds me of Franklin Idaho :)      I've been here in Linares for a few weeks now and I have seen many many many miracles. I can testify that God has blessed the hearts and minds of the people here. The first week I got here we were walking in the street and saw a lady sitting in a parked car. We went up to the car and I knocked the window and told her to roll it down. She turned off her car and got out then says "what does God want to tell me?" Since then we have been teaching her every day and she's attended church twice. Andddd will be bap...

It has been a very eventful 2 weeks so I'm hoping to fit in all the highlights it this short email.      To start I just had my last birthday in the mission! I turned 20 years old which is crazyyy. Some members rented out an event room on the top floor of one of the highest buildings in conce to celebrate my birthday and eat cake hahaha. Also one of my favorite families from Tomé traveled to conce to see me which was super fun! It was a wonderful bday.        Also these past few weeks we have been teaching a girl named Valery. She is 20 years old studying here in conce. Her story is very similar to joseph smith. She has a lot of faith but does not know how to practice it. She came to church with us and even accepted a baptism date but we have been seeing a lot of opposition so pray for her! We have transfers next week and I'm hoping i stay so I can see ...
