Week 35: Power Of Prayer

Image
Que tal fam and friends! Ive heard march madness is starting up! But I don't care much because I'm in love with soccer now. After spending 8 months with Latinos they start to rub off on u.         This week I prayed a lot. I prayed that the hearts of the people in Tomé would soften and that the people would listen to us. After a long week of rejection my prayer was answered. There is a guy named Alan that had a baptism date with other missionaries awhile back. When I arrived here everyone basically don't me he isn't interested. But this week we felt like we should send a message to a member to invite him to church. So we did anddddd he came to church. I was super hyped to see him in the church and all but I knew I needed to talk with him more before he left. Right when church ended he got out of his seat and starting heading toward the door. But I made sure to sprint and cut him off before he could leave hahaha. We talked for a sec then I ask...

Week 34: Alto Amor Y Altas Expectativas

Holaaa amigos y familia. How is everyone?? It's been nice to get hear from some of you so if you have time send me something!               This was a super great week of the mission. Probably one of the best weeks I've had spiritually out here. Started the week with a councel with Presidente and all the other leaders in the mission. During my studies one day I was studying about the grand plan of happiness and thought about this cousel that I had received a few days prior. "Alto Amor y Altas Expectativas". I then realized that our father in heaven is the exact same way. He loves us so much but he also expects very highly of us. We have his commandments to follow. We have his church to worship in. We have the gift of prayer to co...

What's up everyone! Had a tough but great week in Chile. I learned a wholeeee lot. To start I better explain the title a little. Idk how I didn't realize this until this week but in my zone where I am serving there are tonsss of other churches. Every contact we had in the street people would say "soy evangélico déjame en paz" hahaha. I then started to realize that every corner here there is an Evangelist church. And these churches aren't empty they are always filled with people singing and playing their electric guitars and drums. I then was talking to a member of my ward and he told me that in 2010 there was a tsunami that wrecked all the houses and churches down by the beach. So all these people moved up on the hill and built their churches. So please pray for me that i can find some people willing to hear the restored and true gospel of Jesus Christ! Ive already been in wayyy too many Bible bashes hahahaha.      Also this week Elder Costa of the se...
