Week 41: It's Getting Cold

Image
Hey everyone! Espero que estén bien. Here in Tomé I'm doing wonderful. We are heading into winter and it hit harddd. Tomé is right on the ocean so it's a tropical climate. So in winter time it gets crazy. Crazy wind and rain. Had a great experience the other night when water starting leaking into the house hahaha. It'll be fun tho. Nothing will stop God's work!        Quick update on our friend Sonya. She is gonna get baptized this Saturday! She is fighting with a few problems with the word of wisdom so pray for her porfavor. She wants go get baptized in the ocean but the water here in southern Chile is freezing so we will see what happens. My vote is the baptismal font with warm water hahahah.              I had a few experiences this week with many different inactive members of the church. It really breaks my heart that people are leaving the church because a member insulted them. Or that the bishop gave them ...

What's up everyone! Love and miss u all. Had a wonderful chill week here in Tomé. First off got bit by a dog for the first time on the mission. I would have thought it woulda happened earlier hahaha. The next day we had to track down the dog and find out if it had it's rabies vaccines. The man said he thinks so but doesn't remember lol. So pray for me.          Me and my companion Elder Gonzalez are hitting our stride. We are getting close to the end of this transfer and we are doing great. We are teaching very very well together and we are clicking on a lot of levels. We put one of our friends on date for the 4th! Her name is Sonya and she has a cute 6 year old daughter. We contacted her in the street and the second lesson she accepted the baptismal date. One thing I've realized about the mission is that we are here to help people come unto christ and the way we do that is through baptism. In preach my gospel there is a part that says " We m...

Hola mis queridos amigos! Hope everyone is doing great back at home. I have a few highlights that I'd like to share with u all from the week. But also wanted to thank you all for the prayers. My president said to me "think about all the people t hat are praying for you." A lottt of u came to my mind so thank you fr:)      Alright to start I had the privilege to enter into God's house this week. Always a great experience in the temple but this time was a lot different. After general conference I have been thinking about temples. I've been studying and praying about the covenants we do inside. Thanks to some studies in doctrine and covenants and some talks from gc I prepared myself and was able to receive personal revelation inside. All Will Be Well Because of Temple Covenants! But sadly after this amazing experience, everyone in the mission had to get a flu shot and for those of you who know me, not a big fan of needles. Didn't end up on my back tho so...

Holaaaa fam and friends. Hope everyone is doing well back at home. I had a great week here in Tomé. Lots of miracles and experiences that I'm excited to share with you all. We had a baptism, general conference, and..... an earthquake. Let's just say it has been one of the better weeks of my mission.        To start I wanna share the miracle of Claudio. Claudio is an investigator of the hermanas in my district. He's had lots of problems and doubts about the church but a while back he accepted to be baptized. I am the district leader over the Hermanas so I was always helping them teach him and figure things out. Well the week of his baptism date he backed out and said he wasn't ready. Was super sad but at that point there is not much you can do. So the week goes on and then the hermanas receive a phone call from Claudio saying he's thinking about baptism again and felt like he made a wrong decision when he told us he wasn't ready. So long story sho...
